Zion National Park area guided canyoneering trips and instructional courses take place on lands managed by Kane County Blm, Washington County Blm, Arizona Strip Blm, Henry Mountains Field Station Blm, Dixie National Forest, and the Utah State Trust Land Administration. The park currently prohibits technical and back-county guiding.  Canyoneering within ZNP must be done as a private party and permits are required for all technical canyons. This includes the Zion Subway.
