GUIDED CANYONEERING Tours
We help visitors access Zion area slot canyons and other wilderness locations that they are not able to see on their own. Our Zion canyoneering trips are accessible to anyone that can hike and is open to a new unique challenge. These trips involve hiking, scrambling, and rappelling through backcountry canyon routes near Zion National Park. We routinely work with couples, families, and groups that have different ability levels and expectations. Our guides are safe, fun, and professional. No experience is necessary for most of our trips.

4 hours | This trip involves rappelling and slot canyon exploration. Westside and Eastside canyon locations available both AM and PM. Trip difficulty can be adjusted by selecting an appropriate canyon route. With both AM and PM start times this trip can be inserted into any Zion itinerary allowing visitors enough time for same day hiking to the narrows or angels landing. Our guides are the best at putting first time participants at ease. Request a specific canyon or choose the best route with your guide on the day of your trip. No experience is necessary.

OAK CREEK CANYON & VIA FERRATA
6-12 hours | This trip descends Oak Creek Canyon aka Eye of the Needle and then ascents a 500ft via ferrata as the only exit.
Oak Creek Canyon is a remote high elevation canyon just north of Zion National Park boundaries.
There are 2 trip options – The SOUTH FORK also know as Eye of the Needle features year round flowing water. The NORTH FORK features year round water and seasonal waterfalls. Both trips involve 1000ft of descent and then 1000ft of ascent back to the parking area.
Participants should be relatively fit. If you are unsure of your fitness level we recommend a half day canyoneering trip so we can assess your abilities.

WHAT IS CANYONEERING
Canyoneering is the exploration and descent of water carved drainages. These routes are one way only. Vertical drops that can not be reverse once descended create an elevated sense of adventure. Canyoneering routes are flood pathways with potential for flash floods, this is of course how they were created. The more violent and powerful the flood, the more beautiful the canyon. Southwest United States and specifically Utah holds the highest concentration of technical slot canyons in the world.
TRIP LOGISTICS
Trips are available seven days a weeks year round. We guide a variety of canyons depending on type of trip, starting location, canyon conditions, and abilities. All technical equipment is included – helmets, harnesses, ropes, rappel devices, etc. Transportation is provided from the starting location to the canyon trailhead and back. Half day trips are available both AM and PM and allow visitors enough time to hike Zion attractions on their own the same day.
INSTRUCTIONAL CANYONEERING COURSES
We teach modern canyoneering techniques and systems. Our curriculum has evolved over time into what we believe are the most practical courses available. Available seven days a week year round. All courses are private and take place in area canyoneering routes. Courses are appropriate for guests intending to lead canyoneering routes on their own.

WHAT TO BRING
- FULL DAY TRIPS: LUNCH
- 2 to 3 liters of water per/participant.
- Sun protection.
- Camera.
WHAT TO WEAR
Dress for the season but do not wear your favorite clothing items. Knee length shorts and T-shirts are common during the summer months. Wear pants or leggings if extra protection is desired. Short-shorts and tank tops are not recommended.
FOOTWEAR
Lightweight hiking or approach shoes work best. Running shoes or sneakers with tread will work fine.
