Cherry Canyon is an exceptional limestone canyoneering route located in the Virgin River Gorge. It is part of the Beaver Dam Wilderness Area which mandates natural canyoneering anchors. No experience is necessary for this trip but participants should be fit. The canyon approach involves 1500 vertical feet over 1 mile of travel and the technical section requires 12 rappels up to 100ft in an clean and aesthetic mountain type canyon. This route is our nearest option to Las Vegas. Mandatory crossing of the Virgin River. Cubic feet per second levels must be below 200.

TRIP LOGISTICS
This specific trip takes place in Cherry Canyon and is available year round. 6-12 hours duration. Trip times are dependent on participants fitness level. We pick up for all trips. This trip is available from most of our usual Utah starting locations. From Las Vegas drive 1.5 hours north on I-15 to the Cedar Pocket Recreation Area. Las Vegas is 1 hour behind Utah time.

WHAT TO BRING
Dress for the season but do not wear your favorite clothing items. Knee length shorts and T-shirts are commonly used during the summer months unless extra protection is desired. Short-shorts, tank tops, and jeans are not recommended.
Lightweight hiking or approach shoes work best. Trail running, and street running shoes work fine.
Flip Flops can be nice for crossing the river.
Water. 2 to 3 litres/participant.
Sun protection.
Camera.
